Ken Kammeyer has been a Landscape Architect for forty years.  He is the Past President of the California State Board of Landscape Architects and the Past President of the National Council for Landscape Architectural Registration Boards (CLARB).  He is Past Member and President of the National Inter-professional Council of Registration Boards for Architects, Engineers and Landscape Architects (ICORB).

Mr. Kammeyer has project experience with all levels of planning agencies including: the National Park Service, Department of Defense, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the U.S. Forest Service and over two dozen Cities, Counties and Special Districts in Southern California.  Beyond his project experience in recreational planning, he has also been responsible for many unique urban planning commissions and a wide range of varying consultant experience.  Included in the list of projects are the planning and conceptual design of the Santa Ana River Master Plan, Channel Islands National Park Headquarters, San Bernardino National Forest, and the Orange County Riding and Hiking Trail System.

Robert Brown

Principal Designer

Summary of Qualifications

For twenty-one years in practice with K&A, Robert Brown has been responsible for providing artistic, innovative and practical design solutions that respond to client needs.  His creativity and drawing skills are exemplary.  Realizing this talent, many of K & A’s clientele have utilized his abilities not only for landscape and site related solutions, but for architectural, interior and thematic purposes.  He has been involved in a wide range of projects in both the public and private sector.  Projects include large-scale community master plans, consisting of streetscapes, parks, commercial and industrial areas.  He has also worked in various cities to envision streetscape alternatives, including signage, street furniture, road layout, monument entries, paving, and planting. Rather than rely only on flat, one-dimensional plan views, sections, and elevations, Bob routinely utilizes his skills to create colorful perspective renderings that help to put the viewer into to the space. In this approach, the observer can better visualize the final built product.

Professional Experience

Bob’s recent work includes the design of Dos Lagos, a multi-use retail development in Corona, Ca. He provided the preliminary design and design development for the Shops at Dos Lagos, the project’s retail component, the Krikorian Theaters 15 at Dos Lagos, and for the Heart, a stylized public park abutting the Shops.

Bob has completed the master planning for nearly one hundred parks in his tenure at K & A, including designs for Signal Hill Park in Signal Hill, CA in the mid 1980’s; Santana Regional Park and Promenade Community Park in Corona, CA in the 1990’s; and in 2007, the master plan for two parks for the Hidden Canyon development in Beaumont, CA, as well as the Master Plan for the George Equestrian Events Center in Norco, CA.

Gregory Zoll

Project Manager, Registered California Landscape Architect 5204

Greg Zoll will assist in the initial design of the conceptual planning. His involvement will escalate as the project transitions to  the Construction Plans and Specifications phase. At that point Greg will lead the Kammeyer team in the preparation of working drawings. He will work with the City to refine probable project costs, and along with Ken, will attend all meetings as relates Construction Documents.

Summary of Qualifications                   

Greg Zoll is a Landscape Architect with Kammeyer and Associates, Inc.  He is employed with over 9 years of experience in landscape architecture, site planning, irrigation design, and construction management.  His experience also includes landscape architectural design work on private residential, multi-family residential, park projects, commercial sites, restoration, and mitigation projects.   Greg has over 11 years of computer aided design experience using such software such as Adobe Photoshop, Corel Draw, and AutoCAD.

Professional Experience

Greg has been employed by Kammeyer and Associates, Inc. as a Landscape Architect since 2006.  Greg is currently managing two large park projects with K & A including Crescent Park for the port of Los Angeles and Ingalls Park and Equestrian Center for the City of Norco.  Prior to coming to K&A he was employed by David Evans and Associates where he functioned as the Senior Irrigation Designer and as a Project Manager.  His projects ranged in size from small model home complexes and apartment buildings, to the irrigation design of the 34 acre Freedom Park in Palm Desert, CA.   His experience has led to the master planning of large and complex irrigation systems throughout Southern California promoting an ‘intelligent’ use of water.  His responsibilities there also included the construction observation of many of the landscape projects designed by his firm.  Prior to his employment with David Evans and Associates Greg had worked with Water Concern Ltd. in Irvine where he practiced and studied under some of the most innovative irrigation designers at the time.  Greg’s experience is also drawn from his time spent with Pacific Restoration Group in Corona, a contractor specializing in erosion control, mitigation, and Cal-Trans installations. There he helped in the preparation of project costing, site observation, and he preparation of as-built plans. Most recently, Greg has worked closely with Ken Kammeyer taking on a significant amount of responsibilities for our current project with the Port of Los Angeles.

Jean Marsh

Senior Designer, Horticulturist

Summary of Qualifications

Jean Marsh understands the wisdom and necessity of embracing our surrounding environment and creating landscapes that truly celebrate a sense of place in the local community.  Through her practice as a garden designer, lecturer and author, Jean continually encourages people to re-think our traditional response to the landscape and seeks to move the public’s perception of drought tolerant landscapes as sparse and boring to one of a new appreciation for this fresh and dynamic approach.  As a horticulturalist Jean has worked with growers of native and Mediterranean plant materials to develop a palette that is not only sustainable, but one that is diverse and exciting. 


Jean has written numerous articles for the Press Enterprise as well as co-authoring publications for the demonstration garden in Riverside ‘Landscapes Southern California Style’.  She is a Contributing author of:  Southern California Style Garden Guide: Published by: Western Municipal Water District of Riverside County.  Jean is also the author of the Western Municipal Water Districts “Landscaping” workbook.

Professional Experience

Professional experience includes sales and consultation for Plant Club, Corona and Paradise Garden Center, Corona.  From 1996 to 1998 Jean was responsible for all residential irrigation design and inside sales for Hendrickson Brothers Irrigation Corporation in Corona.  She has conducted workshops for the Western Municipal Water District of Riverside County, Rancho Santa Ana Botanical Gardens, the City of Corona as well as community workshops for the City of Norco. Jean continues her passion for educating homeowners providing workshops through the City of Corona’s Department of Water & Power on the subject of Sustainable and Water Wise Landscape Design.

As designer for over 7 years with Kammeyer & Associates, Inc., his experience includes the design of state-of-the-art irrigation systems and the preparation of Certified Irrigation Audits. As a Certified Irrigation Auditor, he has analyzed many landscape irrigation systems to determine forensic, proper/improper water use.  His special areas of expertise include high-tech irrigation delivery systems and the design of state-of-the-art low-volume landscape irrigation.  As a specialist, he assisted Kammeyer & Associates, Inc. in their critique of Eastern Municipal Water District’s landscape water requirements in response to California’s Landscape Water Law.  Experience in field observation and the measurement/evaluation process of specimen trees pursuant to the guidelines of the “International Society of Arboriculture.”

Over 8 years experience with landscape maintenance, landscape installation/construction, project management and tree trimming. Morgan M. Itzel

Landscape Architectural Designer

Morgan Itzel will assist in all aspects of the working drawing preparation as a landscape designer. He will be involved in preparing construction, irrigation, and planting plans, as well as construction details. He will also assist Mr. Brown with perspective renderings via Sketchup software as needed.

Summary of Qualifications

Mr. Itzel, a graduate Landscape Architecture student, brings a strong background in construction from past employment. He also has a strong understanding of aquatic ecosystems and water feature design.
